This is a little taster of the sort of trouting I really enjoy, this from May 2023 in the far north west of Scotland.
Just five minutes walk down the road we have a gravel pit dug in the 1920’s, its now a prime carp fishing venue, however in the depths -and shallows come February and spawning time- pike lurk which are great fun to catch on outlandishly garish concoctions of tinsel and the like.
