These moorland spate rivers, whether in the north, southwest or highlands offer spectacular scenery and fishing when conditions are on your side. These pictures are from a day fishing two small spate streams with my good friend Karl. The trout aren’t huge, but that’s part of the charm. They’re not daft either and certainly not push-overs, you have to be very careful and earn your fish!
