• Tackle assembly, leader materials, knots, flies
• Basic watercraft, weather, entomology
• Hooking, playing, landing, releasing or despatching a fish


Casting ‘MOT’ short session: [2 hours £50 pp, 2 persons maximum] this is for the angler who wants to address one or more specific points in their casting repertoire or who wishes extend it and is done on grass or water as requested


Casting ‘MOT’ long session: [4 hours £100 pp, 2 persons maximum] done on grass or water as requested

• Specific coaching to corrects faults and improve technique
• Introduction to single- and double-hauling
• Dealing with wind
• Mending the line
• Extending your casting repertoire

A half or full day session [4hours hours £125/175 pp, which includes permit] that is aimed at incorporating and combining technique and tuition on a still water: it can include using a wider range of lines, leader set-up and flies to suit conditions, and can be tailored to your wishes.

Prior to the day, specific requirements could be discussed.
