We booked with Andrew for a Corporate Event. We had a mixed group of complete beginners and others that wanted to progress with their casting technique and fly fishing knowledge. His knowledge and more importantly patience are fantastic, he is extremely professional in his job and approachable should you get in a tangle or, if you are lucky enough, get a fish on. We would recommend anyone wanting to book a corporate or group lesson to use Andrew.

We will definitely be using Andrew again for future events.

Andrew was great at identifying what I wanted and needed to work on to get my casting to a high standard.

We covered a huge amount in a two hour  session. And because of his teaching skills I was really clear about how I was going to improve my casting.

He even sent follow up emails with a summary of what we’d done and a plan for the next step!

I can’t recommend him highly enough to anyone wanting to start fly fishing or experienced anglers keen to improve their casting.

Had another session on pond at home and it went well - more relaxed and remembering your guidance helped enormously.

I was very lucky to meet Andrew when staying in a holiday cottage opposite the Falcon Inn at Arncliffe. 

During a conversation about fishing in the bar he kindly offered to take me fishing on the River Wharfe. 

Fishing as I do, in the South, on very different types of rivers, I found his guidance a great help on what is a lovely river in beautiful surroundings. 

He even helped to iron out some of my many casting faults.

Andrew offered his guiding services when he heard I was anticipating returning to fly fishing after a two year lay off due to a stroke. His observations, advice and tips were invaluable enabling me to enter the river and confidently fish again with the minimum of fuss while confronting my physical limitations. He immediately spotted a couple of glitches in my casting which were easily rectified with his guidance. Andrew's passion for fly fishing was evident and infectious, making the experience not just a return to a beloved hobby, but a thoroughly enjoyable and successful outing.
